Ultra Community, WordPress Community Plugin: there is a way to change the general appearance as well as the appearance of the User Profile and Groups Profile.
Let’s find out how.
You can change the general appearance inside the plugin administration menu. Going into the WordPress Dashboard, find the Ultra Community Plugin, and click on Appearance:
Inside this Menu, you can do many things. The first item is the Page maximum width.
This is set up already at 1170px. The width can be set up in pixels or in percentage from 0% to 100%:
The next setting is the page background color. It is set up with white as default. Here is how a general page looks like:
Let’s change the color of the background. In order to do this, click on change color next to Page Background Color:
Let’s select for example yellow.
Let’s save the changes at the end of the page and let’s see how it looks like now.
And here it is the new background. The next is the page color scheme. By default, it is set up in grey. To change this color, click on the arrow next to Color Scheme:
As for this example, let’s select green and then save changes.
Let’s look again at how it looks now.
The color scheme is now green.
You can also change the navigation bar settings.
You can change:
- Navigation Bar Icons Color
- Navigation Bar Icons Hover Color
- Navigation Bar Tabs Color
- Navigation Bar Tabs Hover Color
- Navigation Bar Background Color
- Navigation Icons Position (left or top)
- Show Navigation Icons or not
You can change those by clicking on “Select Color” and select the one you prefer.
DIRECTORIES APPEARANCE SETTINGS
To change, edit the Directories Appearance Settings, click on Directories in the Menu at the top right:
In this page, you can edit several things as:
- How you want the pagination to be
- The User Picture style
- How to display the User Stats (Numbers or Icons)
You can choose whether or not to:
- User Cover Image
- User Online Status
- User Ratings
- User Social Networks
- Highlight user statistics
You could select how many members you want to display per page.
Here is an example of a member page which you can edit by adding or changing the above points:
In the same page, you can edit as well the Group Directory settings:
You can choose how you want the pagination, the picture style, how to display the group stats, you can decide if you want to display the group cover image or not if you want to highlight the group stats and finally how many groups to display per page.
USER PROFILE APPEARANCE
The next section lets you edit the User Profile Appearance.
This gives an idea how a User Profile Page may look like:
You can edit the User Profile Page:
In the User Profile Menu Tabs, you can decide to display the following:
The menu tab created will be displayed in the same order as they are added.
The next option is the Page Header Style, you can decide which one you prefer:
The next option is the User Picture Style between circle and square.
The next one is the User Statistic Counter, shown in the profile header. It can be displayed between posts and comments.
The next option is the User Tag Line. There are many options you can select here:
Options here are First Name, Last Name, User City, User County, Website URL, Biography, Username, Registration Date and Email Address.
Next, you can decide whether or not to show the User Online Status or to show the User Social Networks and the Social Networks Icon Style.
There are also Profile Sidebar Settings to choose from:
You can choose the Page Sidebar Position ( left or right) and the Page Sidebar Widget (About Myself, Latest Post, Social Networks, Groups, Review)
GROUP PROFILE APPEARANCE
There is a Group Profile Appearance as well, with similar options as for the User Profile Appearance:
You can set the following:
- Group Profile Menu Tabs
- Group Picture Style
- Group Statistics Counters
- Page Sidebar Position
- Page Sidebar Widgets
